Yesterday, Arnlea’s Claire Murray and Georgia Ledwidge visited px Group’s St Fergus Gas Terminal for a catch-up and to see Nexar — Arnlea’s digital Ex inspection software — in action.
Located near Peterhead, the St Fergus Gas Terminal plays a vital role in the UK’s energy network. It’s where natural gas from the North Sea is received, processed, and fed into the national transmission system. px Group operates the site on behalf of its clients, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of energy that keeps homes and businesses across the UK running smoothly.
Nexar supports px Group’s teams in the field by digitising Ex inspections, improving efficiency, compliance, and accuracy across asset management operations. By replacing paper-based inspections with digital workflows, Nexar enables px teams to collect, review, and analyse inspection data more efficiently — helping to maintain safety and reliability at every level.
During the visit, Claire and Georgia were shown around by Chris Dodds from px Group, who demonstrated how Nexar is helping streamline inspection activities across the site. The tour offered valuable insight into how digital technology is transforming day-to-day operations within hazardous area environments.
“It was brilliant to see Nexar being used so effectively by the px team,” said Claire Murray, Head of Business Development at Arnlea. “Seeing firsthand how the software supports field teams and improves visibility across inspection data really reinforces the value Nexar brings to our clients.”
It was also a beautiful autumn day in Aberdeenshire, making it the perfect time to see Nexar in use on location.
A big thank you to Chris and the px team for their warm welcome and for taking the time to show us around.
